Insurance

We are out of network for most insurances. Right now, Dr. Sickels and Danielle and Gaia are still medicare (traditional - not "advantage" plans) providers, but this may change at any time. As time goes on, we are in-network with fewer insurances. All insurances tend to prefer physicians who do the least, which doesn’t work for us.
In general, any PPO might work as an out-of-network benefit.

We are not accepting BCBS.
Please note that BCBS PPO has "disaffiliated" us, so we are not in-network since March 20, 2008. You can follow these links to find other providers in the TRUST PPO (Blue Preferred, Community Blue).

The HMO that replaced MCare HMO is essentially Blue Care Network (BCN) with coverage for UM hospital services. It may share BCN's requirement for lab tests only being covered if ordered by an in-panel physician (which doesn’t include us).

We are not on the panel of any HMO, so they will not cover visits here. However, you could think of HMOs as low-cost basic coverage and use the savings from not buying a more comprehensive plan to pay for whatever kind of care you want.

Contact your insurer to ensure coverage as we cannot promise what the whims of insurers will dictate.
